Beardsley Community Farm
CAC Beardsley Community Farm is an urban demonstration farm in Knoxville, Tennessee. They have been promoting food security and sustainable agriculture through patience, education, and community outreach since 1998.
To raise funds for the community farm, Beardsley asked artists and illustrators to create an original piece to be showcased in a 2019 calendar. I was asked to illustrate the month of July.
I wanted to provide an educational illustration to the farm for the month of July to match the mission of CAC Beardsley Community Farm. My theme for the month of July was compost. I wanted to show how compost could be beautiful because it gives life to new plants.
In addition, I created a compost illustration for the farm.
